About

Geoffrey Schild, the person looking through the lens,

Geoffrey Schild is a hobby photographer based in Bern, Switzerland.
He does not just enjoy photography itself, but also has a keen interest in optics, cameras and old photographic processes and equipment.
This means that old lenses fascinate him (he does not currently own a single modern lens), as do old, obscure and forgotten analogue processes. Currently he is experimenting with one of the earliest colour photography processes, the Autochrome process.
His other interests include but are not limited to: fountain pen and jewellery making, reading, writing, classic vehicles, antiques and music.
One thing he really enjoys trying to achieve with his photography is capturing photos that transport the viewer either to the past or into a serene dream world - without overprocessing the photos.
If you'd like to get to know more about Geoffrey you can reach out directly to him via instagram or via the contact form on this website.
